Charles Wright Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Wright of Scranton, Iowa, who passed away on November 20, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Irene Wright (Horning) and William Wright; his parents-in-law, Clem and Elizabeth Klocke; and his brothers, Henry and Duane Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Wright of Joseph's Catholic Church; and his children, Eric Wright (Barrie) of Mountain Lake, MN, Amy Jo Ricker (Mark) of Raymond, KS and William "B. J." Wright (Hayleigh) of Scranton. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; eleven brothers and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews, and many good friends.
A rosary was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Dahn & Woodhouse Funeral Home (906 Grant St, Scranton, IA 51462). Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A Mass was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (503 N Chestnut St, Jefferson, IA 50129). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at the Scranton Township Cemetery (354 225th St, Scranton, IA 51462).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested for a later designation.
