He was predeceased by: his parents, Lindle "Bud" Derrick and Glendora Derrick (Arney); and his brother Alfred Derrick. He is survived by: his wife Betty Derrick of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; his children, Tony Derrick (Kristin) of Sioux City and Julie Weiland (Ken) of Sioux City, Iowa; his grandchildren, Jesse Derrick (Alyssa), Jaimee Derrick, Gabe Simpson (Suzuka), Colton Weiland and Britton Weiland; his great grandchildren, Eleanor, Remington, Nash and Brooks Derrick; and his siblings, Tim Derrick (Karen) of Prosser, Washington and Linda Dreckman (Ted) of Le Mars, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church (722 15th St, Onawa, IA 51040). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
