He was predeceased by: his son Carter Paul Smith; his grandfathers, Ronald Smith, Gordon Wilson, Robert McBrayer and Carrol Howard; and his stepfather Larry Paul Haarlammert.
He is survived by: his father Dennis Smith (Barb) of St. Joseph, MO; his wife Martina Smith of Sergeant Bluff, IA; his daughter Julie Smith-Robison (Skylar) of St. Joseph; his stepchildren, Kaylynn Cranmer of Chillicothe, MO, Paxton and Ryker McClellan of Sergeant Bluff, IA; his mother Christine McBrayer (Tom Goodlett) of Haysville, KS; his granddaughter Addalyn Robison; his siblings, Shauna Smith of St. Joseph, MO, Stephen Haarlammert (Cheyenne) of St Joseph, MO and Melissa Carstensen; his grandmothers, Betty Smith of St. Joseph and Helen Howard of St. Joseph, MO; his sister-in-law Carrie Heckman of St. Joseph, MO; and his close friend Brandon Ebling. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
