He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence Schroeder. He is survived by: his mother Mildred Schroeder (Theilen); and his sister Deb Devine (James). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (510 Thompson St, Sheffield, IA 50475). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
