In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Petra leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Petra may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilhelm Meteg and Irmgard Meteg; and her sisters, Rosemarie and Inge. She is survived by: her sons, Erik Simonson (Robert) of Mason City and Robert Simonson of Charles City, Iowa.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and at 4:00 PM at the Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home (1205 S Main St, Charles City, IA 50616). A burial will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery (59 Riverside Ave, Charles City, IA 50616).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice in Petra's honor.
