It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emmett Dargin of Shelby, Iowa, born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on April 15, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett J. Dargin and Wilma E. Dargin (Schneckloth); his brother John "Jay" Dargin; and his grandparents, John and Bess Schneckloth.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Dargin of Shelby; his children, Andrew Grove (Poppy) of Treynor, Iowa and Kimberly Hancock of Council Bluffs; his grandchildren, Nolan Grove, Trevor Hancock and Sydney Hancock; and his siblings, Jerry Dargin (Lynn) of Minden, Dennis Dargin of Sun City, Arizona and Marcelline Day of Council Bluffs. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and loved all his fur babies.
In lieu of flowers the family will direct memorial contributions.
