She was predeceased by: her parents, John Meendering and Jessie Meendering (Kooima); her husband Thomas De Groot; her great grandchild Autumn Diekevers; her siblings, Fanny DeBoer, Janice Meendering, Jeannetta Meendering, Marian Kroon and Jake Meendering; and her siblings-in-law, Jan Meendering, Willemina Moss, Louis DeBoer, Fred Mulder, Robert Hall, Henry Kroon and Henry Moss.
She is survived by: her children, John (Virginia De Groot), Elaine (Jerry Diekevers) and Deanna (Kerry Dahl); her grandchildren, Greg De Groot of Rock Rapids, Scott De Groot of Omaha, Dawn De Groot of Orange City, Chad Diekevers (Emily) of Hospers, Corey Diekevers (Billie) of Hospers, Chris Diekevers (Sarah) of Boyden and Curtis Diekevers (Darci) of Urbandale, Iowa; her great grandchildren, Brody, Lily De Groot, Easton Diekevers, Dani Wright (Aaron), Ella, Colton, Adalyn Diekevers, Ryker, Attleigh and Dempsen Diekevers; and her sisters, Jo Mulder and Ruth Hollander (Ralph). She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
