It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Schmidt of Sheldon, Iowa, who passed away on May 3, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Dykstra and Tillie Dykstra (Damstra); her sisters, Charlotte Schmidt, Sylvia Wielenga and Noreen Vander Stoep; her son Everett Schmidt; and her son-in-law Kevin Kisling.

She is survived by: her husband Henry; and her daughters, Patricia Meester (Doug) and Carol Watson (Kirk) of Ames, IA..
