It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger W. Sterler of Sheldon, Iowa, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sterler and Frances Sterler (DeGroot); his wives, Dena Josephine Haken and Joanne; his daughter-in-law Donna Sterler; and his brother Robert.
He is survived by: his children, Kerwin (Kathy Sterler), Valoria (Kim Verrips), Denise (Lance Beimers), Cynthia (Tim Herman), Rogerica (James McDonald) and Wayne Sterler of Wellington, Colorado; his daughter-in-law Kris Sterler (Jervis Sterler) of Harlan, Iowa; and his siblings, Ronald Sterler of Lake Park, Madonna Feyerabend of Hartley and Marilyn Rees of Spirit Lake, Iowa.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home (724 6th Ave, Sheldon, IA 51201). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Reformed Church (1101 7th St, Sheldon, IA 51201).
