With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wilma E. Vander Linden of Sheldon, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 21, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Warkenthien and Martha Warkenthien (Waldow); her husband Robert Vander Linden; her grandson Nathaniel Ballou; and her siblings, Fern Loewen, Violet Kruse, Kathleen McHenry, Alma Baumen, Martin, Marvin, Donald, Lyle and Roger Warkenthien.
She is survived by: her children, Craig Vander Linden (Krista) of Sheldon, IA, Linda Nieuwenhuis (Barry) of Hospers, IA and Brenda Tremmel of Sheldon, IA; her grandchildren, Molly Vander Linden, Andrew Vander Linden (Kendra), Ashely Ballou-Bonnema (Mark), Kathryn Deines (Josh) and Joshua Tremmel; her great grandchildren, Ruby, Paige, Brooks Vander Linden, John, Jayden and Jensyn Deines; her stepgrandchildren, Faith Monen, Amanda Verdoorn (Lee) and Lee Nieuwenhuis (Daisy); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Dylan Monen (Willow), Tristan, Jamin Verdoorn, Kara, Cameron, Emmett, Owen and Penny Nieuwenhuis; her great great grandchildren, Felix and Eliza Monen; and her sister-in-law Donette Warkenthien.
