It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Darren Lee Matthias of Shell Rock, Iowa, who passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Alvin, Irene Matthias (Bahe) of Readlyn, Ralph and Alma Petersen (Poppe) of Waverly, Iowa.. He is survived by: his parents, Galen Matthias and Betty Matthias (Petersen); his sisters, Dawn Posekany (Rob), Sherry Matthias and Shelly Matthias; and his nieces, Jaelyn, Abigail, Addison, Danica, Landrie, Aria and Coralie. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
