John Lewis Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of John Lewis of Shellsburg, Iowa is shared. John, born on January 18, 1947, passed away on August 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

John will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor John by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though John is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. John’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.

Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A graveside service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Shellsburg Cemetery.

In lieu of plants and flowers, memorial contributions may be directed toward the family which will be shared with John's favorite organizations.
