He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jacob and Myrtle Evalena Grieder (Brown); his wife Eleanor; his son Michael; and his brother Nathan "Tootsie" Howard Grieder (Hila).
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Grieder (Leslie) of Boise, ID, Paul Grieder (Cheri) of Cedar Rapids and Andy Grieder (Jesse) of Cedar Rapids; his sister Virginia "Sis" Wagner (Carl) of Chelesa; and his sister-in-law Sharon Grieder of Belle Plaine. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
