With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Barbara J. Cunningham of Shenandoah, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Barbara left this world on November 20, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Barbara's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. She was predeceased by: her parents, Libern Cunningham and Irene Cunningham (Dunn); and her sisters, Carol and Mary. She is survived by: her siblings, Roger Cunningham of Milton, Florida and Patty Cox of Wichita, Kansas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nishna Valley Funeral and Cremation Service (405 W Thomas Ave, Shenandoah, IA 51601). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (200 Church St, Shenandoah, IA 51601).

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name, are being directed to the SIEF (Shenandoah Iowa Education Foundation) Barbara Cunningham "Miss C" Education Scholarship.
