He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Reuben and Myrtle Elvira Carlson (Oline); his wife Ila Jean; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Foster, Stanley Prenger, Jerome Leothen, Peter Leothen and Rosemary Leothen.
He is survived by: his children, Roger Carlson (Cindy) and Linda Bane (James); his sister Jane Foster; his grandchildren, Michael Bane, Steven Carlson and Paula Carlson; and his sister-in-law Rachel Prenger.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Shenandoah Hospital Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Project.
