He was predeceased by: his parents, Kimber Gilbert and Aletha Gilbert (Plautz); his son-in-law Michael Rausch; and his brother-in-law William Tripp. He is survived by: his daughter Kim Rausch of Shenandoah; his granddaughters, Haylie Ann Rausch of Shenandoah and Mandi Marie Rausch of Shenandoah; and his sister Lavonne Tripp of Omaha.
