With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marilyn E. Dukes (Shenandoah, Iowa), born in Ogden, Utah, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 23, 2024 at the age of 72. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Marilyn leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Drexel Lee and Dolores Lavonne Dukes (Gulick); her children, Jamie Bruce Jr. of Villisca, Iowa, Venus Barr of Griswold, Iowa, Katrina McCuen of Villisca, Iowa and Tonya Fuller of North Carolina; and her siblings, Penny Dukes of Villisca, Iowa, Candy McCuen of Nodaway, Iowa and Mike Dukes of Essex, Iowa. She was also cherished by 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
