We are sad to announce that, on March 23, 2026, at the age of 92, Shirley J. Belknap of Shenandoah, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Lyle and E. Lorine Schrum (Driskell); her husband Gene Belknap; her siblings, Barbara Wilkins (Len) and Gary Shrum (Nancy); and her grandson Samuel R. McElroy.
She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Marvin Belknap (Pam), Doug McElroy and Ron McElroy (Joan); her sister Phyllis Trively (Vance); her sisters-in-law, Nancy Shrum and Lois Anderson; her grandchildren, Chaney Phipps (Eric), Andrew McElroy, Laura Dau (Jeremy) and Galo Naranjo (Alma); and her great grandchildren, Eayon, Aleaya Phipps, Kaleb, Logan Dau and Isabella Naranjo. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
