David P. Spoerl Obituary
It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved David P. Spoerl of Sherrill, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 95, on June 20, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Spoerl and Elsie Spoerl (Knoernschild); his wife Julia Leslein; his daughter Diann Miller; his son-in-law Larry Foster; and his sister Ruth Hale.
He is survived by: his children, John Spoerl (Shirley) of Sherrill, Joann Sams (Don) of McKinney, TX, Jane Masters (Mel) of Mineral Point, WI and June Foster; and his son-in-law Doug Miller of Urbandale, IA.. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Funeral Home (2659 John F Kennedy Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sherrill United Church of Christ (4995 Sherrill Rd, Sherrill, IA 52073). A burial will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sherrill United Church of Christ or the Sherrill Volunteer Fire Department.
