She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylven Hines and Alyce Hines (Christoff); her former husband Arthur Hammerand; her grandchildren, Katie Hammerand and Joshua Sauegling; her siblings, Gloria Hines, Beverly Frommelt and Sidney Hines; and her siblings-in-law, Brian Hyde, Sheila Hines, Sue Briggs and Phyllis Hines.
She is survived by: her husband Arlan Hammerand; her children, Peggy Goodman, Susan Sauegling, Michael Hammerand, Melinda Smith (Bill) and Sylven Hammerand (Kathy Mootz-Hammerand); her siblings, Delbert Hines and Nancy Hyde; and her brother-in-law Dave Frommelt. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Funeral Home (2659 John F Kennedy Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Funeral Home and Crematory (2659 John F Kennedy Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002).
Memorials may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Sherrill, or to Finley Hospital Sunshine Circle.
