He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Malsam and Johanna Malsam (Getz); his daughters, Sharon Peterson and Kathy Dardis; his granddaughters, Rachel Bonitz and Christina Snyder; and his siblings, Steve, David Malsam, Aggie Heilman and Frances Gob.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Malsam of Sibley, IA; his children, Donna Meyer (Russell Allen) of Little Rock, IA, Barbara Malsam of Sibley, IA, Debra Meyer (Jeffrey) of Gaylord, MN, Brenda Omodt (Paul) of Buford, GA, Chad Malsam (Tina) of Primghar, IA and Bill Malsam (Dianne Wallrich) of Baltic, SD; and his siblings, Marcy Scheer, Teresa Joses and Benjamin Malsam. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Jurrens Funeral Home - Walton Chapel (505 9th St, Sibley, IA 51249). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
