He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Schroder and Helen Schroder (Beving); and his siblings, Gordon Schroder and Roberta Kuerbs. He is survived by: his wife Julie Schroder; his children, Heather Schroder, Jonathan Schroder (Meridythe) and Justin Schroder; his stepson Matthew Helmers (Molly); his stepgrandchildren, Claire, Grace and George "Artie"; his stepdaughter Betsy Burkhardt (Bryan); his stepgrandchildren, Harrison and Cohen; and his brother Tom Schroder (Janet). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jurrens Funeral Home - Walton Chapel (505 9th St, Sibley, IA 51249).
