It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Dean Gintert of Sibley, Iowa, born in Shellsburg, Iowa, who passed away on November 24, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert Gintert and Merle Gintert; his wife Norma Ruth Gintert of Sheldon; and his siblings, Donald Gintert and Alta Ruby.

He is survived by : his children, Leah Kasavan (Jeff) of Lodi and Doak Gintert (Jeri) of Santa Cruz, California.; his sister Beverly Garman; and his siblings-in-law, Calvin Bogaard and Leone VanDer Woude. He is also survived by many good friends and wonderful Ortalon Avenue neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to Hospice of Santa Cruz, Mount Hermon Conference Center or High Street Community Church.
