With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arthur R. Smith of Sidney, Iowa, who passed away on August 6, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Arthur departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Arthur. Though Arthur may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Oliver and Vera Marie Smith (Kellison); and his siblings, Bill Smith, Virginia Thompson and Patricia Wampler.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Elizabeth Jones of Sidney, Iowa; and his children, Ron Smith (Betty) of Sidney, Iowa, Lisa Mullins of Sidney, Iowa and Diane Birkby (Mark) of Thurman, Iowa.
A graveside service was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Grandview Cemetery.
