He is survived by: his father Ronald Fredrick Ahrens; his wife Jill Armstrong; his children, Andrew Ahrens (Allye), Lindy Ahrens and Aliou Kieta (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Ella, Jordyn, Rose, Kenley and Kayden; and his siblings, Lyle Ahrens of Harper, Rhonda Aller (Jon) of Iowa City and Randy Ahrens (Kami) of North Liberty.
