He was predeceased by: his parents, August Steinhart and Velma Steinhart (Kleinschmidt); his wife Shirley Moore; and his siblings, Nell Weber, Glen Steinhart and Duane Steinhart.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Steinhart (Bruce Ackland) of New York, Kevin Steinhart (Susan) of Webster, Diane Russo (Ron) of Kalamazoo and Laurie Conrad (Alan) of Basehor, Kansas; his grandchildren, Tristan Conrad (Kirstan), Tyler Conrad (Jessie), Maggie Taylor (Austin), Trey Conrad, Ali Peltier (Will) and Tanner Conrad; his great grandchildren, Crosby, Beckett, Charlotte, Noah, Harrison, Josephine, Callie and Sadie; his brothers, Terry Steinhart (Marsha) of Sigourney and Wilmer Steinhart (Katherine) of Des Moines; and his sister-in-law Pat Steinhart of Thorton, Colorado..
