We announce the death of Janet Behrens (Sigourney, Iowa), who passed away on July 10, 2026, at the age of 83. Janet will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Leland Greenhalgh and Thelma Ailene Boles (Virgil); and her brother Larry Greenhalgh. She is survived by: her children, Kurt Behrens (Nicole) of Sigourney and Kristin Holdeman (Tom Bacon) of Millerton; her grandchildren, Tiffany Goldman, Zachary Behrens, Steven Roose (Sara), Jesiah Behrens, Katelyn Ehret (Chris), Shelby Mandt (Marcus) and Codi De Bruin (Zack); and her siblings, Elaine Guthrie (Les) and Robert (Mary Walker). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Knoxville Friends of the Library and the Knoxville Kiwanis.
