She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest McLain and Stella (McCommon); and her husband Wayne Arnold Gwin. She is survived by: her children, Denise LaRae Black (Steve) of Webster, IA and Leland Wayne Gwin (Anita Johnson) of Hardeeville, SC.; her grandsons, Wayne Wesley Black (Bobbie Jo) of Sigourney, IA and Steven David Black (Audrey) of Delaware, OH; her sister Beverly Gray (Don); and her great grandchild Michael Black. She is also survived by five brother / sister-in-laws; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Holm Funeral Home (320 N Shuffleton St, Sigourney, IA 52591). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Jackson Township Cemetery (400 S High St, Montezuma, IA 50171).
