He is survived by: his parents, Sonia Sample McNurlen of Sigourney, Iowa and Jason "Jake" McNurlen of Sigourney; his sister Madi McNurlen (Joe Spangenburg) of Sigourney; his grandparents, Larry Sample of Bloomfield, Iowa and Donna McNurlen of Harper, Iowa; his uncles, Justin Sample (Jodie) of Huxley and Joe McNurlen of Houston, Missouri; his great-grandparent Mary Padget of Bloomfield; and his cousins, Emma and Taylor Sample of Huxley, Iowa..
