He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Schauf and Goldie Schauf (Ellis); his parents-in-law, Steve and Alleen Northup; his daughter Amber Schauf; his sisters, Frances Baumert, Dorothy Niffenger, Betty Strickler and Rosemary Voss; and his nephews, David and Earl Strickler.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his children, Ryan and Hayley Hammes (Greg); his grandchildren, Brianna, Payton, Madi Schauf of Makenna, DJ and Monroe Hammes; his sister Evelyn Pierce; and his siblings-in-law, Mike Northup, Jim Voss, Cris Utterback and Carol Wehr. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
