He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sampson and Mildred Sampson (Hirt); his wife Dorothy Sampson; and his brothers, Milton Sampson and Kenneth Sampson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jan Schimmer, Julie Pape, Jennifer Meyer, Karen Raymond and Karmen Staples; and his sisters, Marilyn Tesch, Elsin Petersen and Shirley Ney. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
