He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Roekel and Alice Van Roekel (Franken) of Sioux Center; his in-laws, Henry and Theresa Marema; his cousin Arlin Franken; and his son-in-law Daron Van Beek.
He is survived by: his children, Sherri Van Beek (Daron) of Sioux Falls and Scott Van Roekel (Jennifer) of Valley Springs; his wife Pat; his grandchildren, Carson Van Beek (Baylea), Brendon Van Beek, Aubrie Van Beek and Payten Van Roekel; his great grandchild Daxton Van Beek; and his siblings, Ila Harskamp (Dave), Claryce Schuiteman (Mark), Loren Van Roekel (Sharon) and Mark Van Roekel.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 9:30 AM. A prayer will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Central Reformed Church (113 N Main Ave, Sioux Center, IA 51250). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at the same location.
