He was predeceased by: his parents, Evert Dokter and Bertha Dokter (Wissink); his wife Adrianna Dokter (DeWit); his siblings, Henry John, Bernard (Bernie) and Evelyn; his children, Sharla Alsum (Gary), Susan Jones (Scott) and Jay Dokter (Kathy); his grandchildren, Levi (Katrina), James (Stacy), Brittany, Andrew Alsum (Ashley), Alyssa Wells (Alex), Justin (Natalie) and John Dokter (Addy); and his great grandchildren, Jaden, Asher, Trevor, Titus, Kaylee Alsum, August, Austin Wells, Kalia, Jemma and Boy Dokter.
He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Walter Blom of Rock Valley, Betty VandeGriend (DeWit) of Hull and Theresa DeWit (Jacobsma) of Sioux Center. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home (12 16th St SE, Sioux Center, IA 51250). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
