Evelyn Bakker Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Evelyn Bakker (Sioux Center, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 10, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Tiedeman and Nellie Tiedeman (Dickman); her husband Bernard Bakker; her son Kevin Bakker; her sons-in-law, Wilmer Middendorp and Paul Wojciechowski; her grandchildren, Heath Vanden Bosch, Albert Bakker Jr. and Baby Middendorp; her stepgrandson Jonah Holmes; her great grandchildren, Avonlea Middendorp, Donnie Middendorp, Malakai Hoekstra and Ezra Bakker; her siblings, Don Tiedeman (Ann), Delmar Tiedeman, Wayne Kruse, Eldoris Dykstra (Art) and Lanny Winter; and her in-laws, Albert Bakker (Alice), Dena Luttikhuizen (Martin), Jennie De Kam (Clarence), John Bakker (Marie) and Henry Bakker.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Vanden Bosch (Ron) of Hull, Carolyn Bakker (Albert) of Rock Valley, Donna Wojciechowski of Platte, Gerrit Bakker (Joyce) of Rock Valley, Larry Bakker (Donita) of Columbia, Missouri, Rodney Bakker (Lisa) of Spirit Lake, Sandy Hoekstra (Kevin) of Sioux Center and Dale Bakker of Sioux Center; her sister Shirley Winter; and her sisters-in-law, Martia Tiedeman, Angeline Hoogendoorn (Gib) and Leola Bakker. She is also survived by forty grandchildren; 110 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials will be given to the Faith Christian Reformed Church building fund.
