She was predeceased by: her parents, Jake Jans and Anna Jans (Vander Vliet); and her husband Henry Vander Zwaag. She is survived by: her daughter Connie Van Voorst (Will) of Sioux Center, IA; her grandsons, Jeremy Van Voorst (Darcie) of Sioux Center, IA and Wade Van Voorst (Kristen Mendez) of Hull, IA; and her brother-in-law Claude Vander Zwaag of Spirit Lake. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home (12 16th St SE, Sioux Center, IA 51250). A prayer was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM and at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Middleburg Free Grace Church.
