She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Brands and Jeanette Brands (Dirksen); her husband Donald Ter Haar; her stepfather Joe De Wit; her son Dale Ter Haar; her sister Thelma Aberson; her stepsiblings, Florence Ter Maat (Bud), John "Dutch" De Wit (Lenora) and Mildred Dirksen (Herm); her brothers-in-law, Gerald and Phillip Ter Haar; and her granddaughter Rebekah Ter Haar.
She is survived by: her children, Harlan, Jaki (Thoms) of Sioux Falls, SD, Dean, Sandra (Vandenburg) of Wyoming, MI, Tim, Judy (Vandenburg) of Sioux Center, IA, Nancy and Darin Larson of Beresford, SD; her daughter-in-law Nancy Ter Haar (Van Milligan) of South Holland, IL; and her in-laws, Helen and Roger Bolks. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Faith Christian Reformed Church (801 9th St SE, Sioux Center, IA 51250).
