She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Nielsen and Dr. Roy Nielsen, Jr.; and her father-in-law Curtis Van Briesen. She is survived by: her husband Todd; her children, Chyann Zevenbergen and Corbin Van Briesen; her grandchildren, Audrey, Leighton Zevenbergen and Prynce Van Briesen; her siblings, Roy Nielsen III, Drew, Elva Nielsen [Brian], Tom Nielsen, Karen Miedema (Larry, family: Stephanie Den Herder, Taya, Hudson, Nathan Miedema, Bennett, Alex, David Miedema [Jayden], Mark Miedema), Jean-Paul Nielsen, Gabrielle and Liam; her mother-in-law Dorothy Van Briesen; Nancy Van Briesen, Marcus, Madison, Cindy York [Courtney] and Arlin Van Briesen [Ashley]. She is also survived by extended family and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Life Church (232 16th St SE, Sioux Center, IA 51250). A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, we are inviting donations to go towards new playground equipment for the sensory area. People may send cash or a check written to the Sioux Center Community Schools (550 9th St NE, Sioux Center, IA 51250) and note it is a donation for the Jennifer Van Briesen Memorial Fund.
