She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Bowden and Clara Bowden (Watkins); her husband Delmar; her son Bruce Smit; and her siblings, Thayne, Dean, Homer Bowden, Betty Loverien and Wanda Kuchel.
She is survived by : her sons, Doug (Janet Smit) of Ireton, IA and Ken (Kim Smit) of Sioux Center, IA; her daughter-in-law Tina Smit of Chapin, SC; and her sister Velda Juffer of Sioux Center, IA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
