He is survived by: his son Jesus; his brother Clare; his brothers-in-law, Jack and John; his close friend Larry Bartholomy; his wife Rosie; his children, Kelly Bomgaars (Wayne) of Orange City, IA, Vicki Albalos (Jeff) of Norco, CA and Scott Koopmans (Josie) of Newton, IA; his grandchildren, Brandon Bomgaars (Jamie), Bria Den Hartog (Greg), Brett Bomgaars (Whitney Kniffen), Brenna Haack (Drew), Breckin Bomgaars (Jordyn), Aiden Koopmans, Christian Albalos and Sara Albalos; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Karsyn Den Hartog, Cash and Kipp Haack; and his siblings, Sharon Bloemendaal, Marlys DeGroot, Carla Nibbelink (Denny) and Dave Koopmans (Eunice).
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Faith Christian Reformed Church (801 9th St SE, Sioux Center, IA 51250).
