Vernon Beernink Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Vernon Beernink of Sioux Center, Iowa. Vernon, born on April 29, 1938, passed away on June 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William'Bill'Samuel Beernink and Johanna Beernink (Kempers); his children, Janice Beernink, James Beernink (Jim) and Bradley Beernink (Brad); his grandson Dylan Nibbelink; and his siblings, Don Beernink (June) and Gladys Schut (Pete).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Huygens of Sioux Center; his children, Mark Beernink (Brenda) of Rochester, Minnesota and Barbara Den Herder (Matt) of Sioux Center; and his stepchildren, Daniel Huygens of Sioux Falls and Sarah Huygens of Loja, Ecuador. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials will be given to the New Life Church Building Fund.
