She was predeceased by : her parents, Delbert Day and Velma Day (Brown); her siblings-in-law, George and Louise Schmidt; her aunt Grace Brown; her husband Marv; her son Dan; her grandsons, Micah Schneider and David Schmidt; her great grandchild Carson Schneider; and her siblings, Buss Day, Ardis Day and Carol Wangen (Bill).

She is survived by : her children, Steve Schmidt (Pam) of Sioux City, Julie Schneider (Shaun) of Akron and Scott Schmidt (Maralee) of Austin, Texas; her daughter-in-law Linda Schmidt of Tampa, Florida; her grandchildren, John Schmidt, Kelly Schmidt (Amy), Amanda Verros (Brandon), Jason Schneider (Heather), Aaron Schneider (Amy), Erika (Dave Weinmann), Alexandra Florence (Jeff), Megan Blumentrath (Justin), Luke Schmidt and Logan Schmidt; and her great grandchildren, Christian, Noah, Nathan, Parker, Camden, Cael, Larissia, Aaden, Axton, Beckett, Brinley, Quinn, David, Brenden, Cooper, Brecken, Oliver and Lucy.

The Schmidt family prefers memorials be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
