He was predeceased by : his parents, William Rensink and Magdalena Rensink (Moerman); his wife Gracia Punt; his brother Eugene Rensink; his parents-in-law, Gerrit and Edna Punt; and his brother-in-law Gary King.

He is survived by : his daughter Sheryl Groetken (Troy) of Geneva; his grandchildren, Olivia and Greysen; his son Jerris Rensink of Hull; his grandchildren, Danielle, Trevor Jasper, Nichole, Auston Rozeboom and Darren; his daughter Emily Van Kalsbeek (Kurt) of Brandon; his grandchildren, Brady, Alyssa and Chase Grode; and his siblings, Philip Rensink, Marilyn King, Arlene Noack and Larry Rensink. He is also survived by his three children and seven grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home (12 16th St SE, Sioux Center, IA 51250). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the June E. Nylen Cancer Foundation.
