It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilma De Jong of Sioux Center, Iowa, who passed away on December 20, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Henry Haan; her husband Alfred B. De Jong; her son David Lee De Jong; her mother Bernadena De Haan (De Bie); her parents-in-law, Theodore and Geraldine De Jong (Hofmeyer); and her siblings-in-law, Margaret De Haan, Arlene Dekkers, Thelma Bomgaars, Jeanette Groenendyk and Anthony Dekkers.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Franken (Mark) of Sioux Center, Iowa, Steve De Jong (Nancy) of Hingham, Wisconsin, Brenda Prins (Aaron) of Mabton, Washington and Cheryl De Jong of Oak Forest, Illinois; her grandchildren, Megan Argo (Mick), Courtney Hellinga (James), Katelyn Blankespoor (Alex), Anneke Van Essen (Shane), Case De Jong, Willem De Jong, Alex Prins (Heidi), Austin Prins (Kelsey) and Zoe Prins; her great grandchildren, Bryson, Cohen, Jaxon Argo, Hudson, Jase, Cora, Camdyn Blankespoor, Dallas, Ford, Quinn Hellinga and Wesley Prins; and her siblings, Loren, Thressa Struiksma, Henry, Pattie De Haan, Larry De Haan, Howard Bomgaars and Marion Groenendyk. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
