It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ann L. Combs of Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on June 2, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Backman and Parthinea Backman (Lee); and her brothers, Robert, Edward and Gregory Backman.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Kathol (Merlyn) of Sioux City, IA. and Bruce Combs of O'Fallon, IL.; and her siblings, Clarette Kober (Dennis) and Gary Backman (Linda). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (3012 Jackson St, Sioux City, IA 51104). A rosary will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Cross Parish Blessed Sacrament Church (3012 Jackson St, Sioux City, IA 51104).
She was a role model of strength, faith, and charity to the people around her.
