Brien Patrick O'Brien Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Brien Patrick O'Brien (Sioux City, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 16, 2025 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald and Ruth; and his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Daniel (Monica), Timothy, Kennedy and Irelinn; and his sisters, Terry (Matt) and Shiuvaun.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel (3220 Stone Park Blvd, Sioux City, IA 51104). A vigil service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (3012 Jackson St, Sioux City, IA 51104).

In lieu of flowers we are asking for a donation of hats and mittens for grade school children as every year around Christmas time Brien would buy hats and mittens for the children on his bus that did not have any.
