She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest W Johnson and Johanna G Johnson of Akron, IA.. She is survived by: her husband Peter Macfarlane; and her children, Steven Macfarlane (Amy Smith Macfarlane) of Sioux City and Laura Hansen (Scott Hansen) of Hinton, Iowa.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Florence Crittenton Home or Junior League of Sioux City.
