He was predeceased by: his parents, William W. Hesse and Ethel Belle Hesse; his wife Virginia Rose Jacobsen; his son Steven D. Hesse; his daughter-in-law Debbie; and his siblings, Alvie, William Hesse, Arlene Schuman and Donna Kleihauer.
He is survived by: his brother Jerry Hesse (Dixie); his children, Byran Hesse, Marty Hesse, Douglas Hesse (Pam), Donald Hesse (Krystal), Rhonda Dickinson (Don Borland), Richard Hesse (Cheryl) and Sheri Miller (Joel Kampen); and his daughter-in-law Paige Hesse.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel (6200 Morningside Ave, Sioux City, IA 51106).
