He is survived by: his brother Robert Oakes (Debra); and his nieces and nephews, Renae Oakes-Munoz (Tony), Robin Turpin, Deanna Oakes-Bryan (Chris), Clyde Oakes, Travis Oakes (Jocelyn) and Preston Oakes (Jillian).
