He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Schellinger; his children, Jamie Ahrendsen (Dan) of Hinton, IA, Mitchell Thompson (Mary) of Oxford, IA and Michael Thompson of Sioux City, IA; his grandchildren, Adam Ahrendsen (Erin), Casey Ahrendsen (Amanda), Blake Ahrendsen (Rebecca), Alexandra Hermanson (Nickel) and James Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Mia, Abigail, Claire, Camron, Molly, Urijah and Reece.
