He is survived by: his wife Julie Ann Sauer (Sherlock) of Sioux City, IA; his children, Susan Beckwith (Greg) of Red Wing, MN and Joel McElhany (Anna) of Fort Worth, TX; and his grandchildren, James and Laura McElhany.
